Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Couriv ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Couriv lets you upload documents (PDF, Word) and uses AI to generate quizzes, flashcards, and structured courses from that content. The Service is provided on a credit-based subscription model.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You may not use the Service to:

• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Upload content containing illegal material or personally sensitive data.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

You retain ownership of the documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of AI-generated study materials produced from your documents. You may use, share, and export them freely within the bounds of these Terms.

• Credits are purchased through our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) and are non-refundable.
• Credits do not expire while your account is active.
• We reserve the right to adjust credit costs for features with reasonable notice. Purchased credits are honoured at the rate active at the time of purchase.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid users.

The Couriv name, logo, and codebase are owned by Couriv. Nothing in these Terms transfers any rights in those to you.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying any study material before relying on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with immediate effect for serious violations.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
